Building Virtual Communities @ NM MIX
For the second year in a row, I've been honored to share the panel with some of New Mexico's thoughtful technology practitioners at the annual NM MIX conference hosted by UNM.
This year, we focused on social media and the creation of online communities. Timely stuff and as you can imagine, the crowd had plenty of questions.
Personally, I focused on my work building DukeCityFix.com which, over the years has taught me plenty about socially constructive online communities.
Other panelists included:
- Jack Moffitt from www.chesspark.com
- Christine Robinson from iminister.blogspot.com
- David Thomas from NM Ubuntu LoCo
- Chris Kenworthy from DreaminCode.net
Thanks to everyone for sharing their expertise and experience. I'm probably not the only one who left knowing more than I did before and re-energized about the possibilities of online community-building.
